Heading southwest en route to Mueller State Park, there’s a lovely pull-out where you can watch the sun drop - it lights the entire valley in cool yellows and pinks as migratory birds fly overhead. Over the next five miles you may see a herd of deer, a herd of elk or a herd of pronghorns in this robust and diverse ecosystem.
